Outgrow alternatives for scored quizzes and interactive calculators

Outgrow meters published pieces, not responses. Which alternatives keep the scored quiz and the calculator, and which of them repeat the same cap. Monthly prices, August 2026.

Outgrow prices by how many pieces you publish, not by how many people answer them. That single decision is why most people start looking for an alternative, and it is the thing to check first on every tool they compare it against.

Outgrow does more formats than anything else in the category: calculators, quizzes, polls, assessments, chatbots and recommendation engines in one builder. If you genuinely need that spread, the alternatives below will feel narrow. This page is for the case where you needed two of those formats and are paying for eleven.

Every price is the monthly price, read from each vendor's own pricing page in August 2026.

    What does Outgrow actually meter?

Entry is $22 a month on the Freelancer tier. The limit that moves people is not the response count, it is the number of pieces you are allowed to have live: Outgrow's own FAQ ties building as many calculators and quizzes as you want to the Essentials tier and above, at $115 a month.

That is a five times step, and it arrives at a predictable moment. One calculator is a project. The second one, for a different service line or a different client, is when the pricing model shows itself.

The pattern repeats across the category, so it is worth naming: several tools here charge for published pieces rather than for usage. It is easy to miss because it never appears on the headline row of a pricing page.

Which alternatives keep the scored quiz and the calculator?

Both mechanisms have to survive the move, or the alternative is not an alternative. A scored quiz needs answers carrying points, conditions reading the total and a closing screen built from it. A calculator needs arithmetic over answers, shown on screen.

    involve.me

The closest in spirit: scored funnels, calculators, a CRM and email sequences in one product, from $49 a month billed monthly. You are trading one published-piece cap for another, at 3, 5 and 25 across the tiers. The detail to price in before switching is webhooks, which start at Scale, at $199 a month billed monthly or $139 annually.

    ScoreApp

Narrower and better at the narrow thing. The entire product is organised around handing each respondent a personalised score breakdown, from $39 a month for 100 responses and 3 live scorecards. It is the strongest fit when the scorecard is the offer you sell, and a weaker one when you need a price calculator, because scoring comes first there and arithmetic second.

Budget the response tier honestly: 100 a month is a pilot allowance, and 1,000 responses is $99 a month.

    Heyflow

Design-led flows with logic and calculation, from €69 a month for 50 responses and 5 flows. Two numbers decide it: 250 responses is €129, and webhooks do not appear until Scale, at €289. It suits teams where the flow has to look bespoke and volume is modest.

    Typeform

People compare it here and it belongs in the list, with a caveat. It supports calculation, but the product is not organised around returning a computed result, and the response cap is the tightest of the group: Basic is $39 a month for 100 responses, account wide, not carried over, and at 100 percent the form is switched to private. The tier that survives real traffic is $129 a month.

    FoxForm

Built on the specific gap this page describes. There is no published-piece meter: the plan meters leads, at 10,000 a month on the $9 entry plan with up to 10 seats. Logic, scoring, calc() expressions and result screens that change with the score are on every plan including the free one, and webhooks are on every paid plan.

The trade is honest: a smaller template library than Outgrow, and fewer formats. If you need a chatbot and a recommendation engine, Outgrow does things this does not.

    The shortlist in one table

Entry paid plan, billed monthly, August 2026. Compare monthly against monthly, because most of these pricing pages open on the annual toggle and the first number you see is roughly 30 percent below what you pay month to month.

How do you move without losing the piece that works?

Rebuild the calculator that gets the most traffic, and only that one. Run both versions for two weeks with the traffic split, then compare three numbers in this order.

Completion rate tells you whether the rebuilt flow is at least as good for the person answering. Time from submission to the answer landing in your system tells you whether the integration is what the pricing page implied, and this is where the webhook tier shows up in practice rather than in theory. And the share of submissions your team acts on tells you whether the scoring survived the move intact.

If all three hold, move the rest. If completion drops, the problem is usually that the rebuild changed question order rather than that the tool is worse, and it is worth one more pass before concluding anything.
